For $1.25 a day, you can sponsor a child in 25:40’s after school care program. This program meets specific needs of orphans and vulnerable children in the Ngqeleni District of South Africa’s Eastern Cape, one of poorest and most rural areas in the country. Orphans in South Africa long for a safe place to play and be nurtured. 25:40’s aftercare program does just that: The children receive a nutritious meal, academic help, emotional counseling, health monitoring, and civil rights advocacy all with a spiritual foundation based on the Gospel. For more information on the 25:40 aftercare program, click here.

We also have children in need of sponsorship who live in a permanent place of care called Coram Deo about an hour from Canzibe Mission. Coram Deo takes in children who have been abandoned or legally relinquished by their caregivers. Currently, Coram Deo is caring for nine children, ranging in age from 2 -14, in a family style home, with housemothers who nurture these very vulnerable children in a safe, Christian environment.

As a child sponsor, you will be encouraged to correspond with your child, send photos of your family and share about yourself. You will receive basic information about your child’s life and regular updates on your child’s progress and letters in return from your sponsored child.
